Exactly twenty years ago, there was a happy little girl jumping around the house unable to hide her joy. She was so excited because she will get to wear a robe to receive her kindergarten certificate from her own mother. Back then, many kindergarten prepares small robe for children for their 'mini convocation' at the kindergarten. It was utterly more special to her because her mum will be giving certificate as the honorable guest of the function.
The journey following to that memorable event has been challenging and rather long winded for her. She had to endure the shadow of her older brother at school. Not that the brother really set an excellent benchmark, but i guess it is a social disease that people always set eldest child's achievement as bar for the other to match.
Today ... more than ten years after i told her that she will one day be standing proud with her own degree ... she did it! SHE DID IT! after nine years of relentless pursuit ... from a certificate to a diploma to a degree ... now she stands tall and proud ... for the really meaningful robe and piece of paper ... and for all the hardwork and difficult journey to KL ... its worth every bit ... we are all proud of you ... she gets to wear it again for a truly special moment ...
WE ARE ALL PROUD OF YOU ... I am really proud of you ... Abah would be proud of you ...
