FireWorks!

Actually, this post suppose to be earlier than the “Salam Ramadhan & Selamat Berpuasa” ... but because I couldn’t find time to actually finish it, so it comes after and the story is a bit old & dah basi ...I promised my son (Or maybe actually ummiqais) that I would bring him to Merdeka Parade this year. Since this year is the 50^th year of our glorious Merdeka, i guess they will have a 'grand' merdeka celebration this time with all those grand merdeka parade, merdeka showcase, cultural show, concert, fireworks showcase and bla bla bla. So i promised that i will bring them (Qais & ummi) to Dataran this time.

We are all excited and can’t wait to show Qais all the military patrol truck, army tank and those canggih artillery from our Force. I personally, eager to see Sukhoi in action (I heard they gonna have sukhoi & MIG doing some TopGun action this year ... huhuhu must not miss that one!).

Suddenly ... alamak! Kena balik kampung. Initially I plan to go back early August so we’ll be in KL for Merdeka. Not so lucky, i have to go to Kuantan early August, so we cannot make our trip balik kampung. And the only weekend that looks possible is the merdeka weekend. SANGAT KU KUCIWA!

So, not wanting to frustrate everybody (Including myself), i decided to bring them to Malaysia International Fireworks Competition. Kononnya sebagai ganti tak boleh pegi parade. Since Cecipanz pun memang nak pergi, so boleh la jadi another Cecipanz night-out. We all decided nak pergi opening show by Malaysia Team.On the day, Yang fell sick so Leny and Alya can’t go. Poor Yang and poor us (Melepas chocolate cake). Ninie wanted to go but can’t because some friend want to pass over some stuff from the husband, so she’s supposed to meet the friend somewhere. That left us and Afza & Syaban. Takpe demi fireworks!

We hit the road at about 6.45pm heading to Jusco Equine where we supposed to meet Afza. Road was still clear all the way, except many cars seen entering Putrajaya from Kajang & Puchong. That means we have to be there early to get good spot. We get to Jusco at about 7.15pm (U can get to Putrajaya quite fast using the SMART tunnel from Tun Razak). Had our dinner (And Afza’s lunch) at KFC & quickly off to Putrajaya. Ingatkan nak tapau KFC poppers tapi alahaii poppers nya sangatlah “besar”. Lagipun kitorang memang dah bawak kerepek & ada some leftover KFC tu angkut je sekali.

At about 9.00pm macam tu, we manage to get a good spot right beside the fun-fair park. Actually at the time we get to the stretch infront PICC tu, they havent closed the bridge, so we manage to cross over to PICC and park by the roadside in front of PICC. We walk a bit and found a good spot by the lake exactly across the area they fire the fireworks. So kat situlah kitorang melepak sambil tunggu fireworks.

Fireworks begin at 10.00pm sharp and lasted for about 20 minutes. Qais Amiir initially sampai tutup2 mata sebab takut, tapi after a while dah ok dan dah seronok tengok fireworks. Apza dengan baik hatinya jugak buat video call dengan Leny dari awal fireworks sampai habis. Tak tahulah besar mana jek Leny nampak.

Habis je fireworks lebih kurang jam 10.30pm ... semua orang berpusu-pusu keluar dari Putrajaya. Tahulah kalau dah semua kereta keluar all at one shot ... it took us almost one hour to get to Puchong LDP toll. Tapi, all in all ... experience ni memang menyeronokkan.
